The Missoula Children's Theatre has been providing quality education,
entertainment, and enrichment for children for almost 10 years. Their
international touring project is the largest touring children's program
in the country.
The concept is based on a week-long residency during which a team of
two staff Tour Actor/Directors develop and produce a full-scale musical
with local K-12 children as cast members. Nearly 50,000 youngsters will
participate as performers in this season's productions.
The plays are updated versions of classic fairy tales and children's
stories. The Jungle Book Story will include professionally designed
scenery, costumes, props, make-up, sound, and lighting. Don't miss it!
The Pella Opera House was built in 1900 and quickly became the cultural
and social center of the town. It flourished until about 1917. In 1986,
a group of concerned citizens began the process of restoring this
time-worn landmark.
The newly restored Opera House began its first season of events in July
of 1990. To become a member or for more information, go to www.pellaoperahouse.org.
