BBB's 8 Tips to Prepare Your Home, Car for Winter

We have recently been experiencing unseasonably mild temperatures. As our luck will not last forever, sometime soon temperatures will dip into the freezing zone, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises consumers to prepare homes and vehicles for cold weather to reduce heating costs, to prevent damage and destruction of property or simply to save headaches when snow and ice arrive.

Scam Alert: Another Phishing E Mail

This has been making the rounds and is a variation on a theme where the email warning you against a virus probably will create one or at a minimum compromise your computer and personal information. As usual the email below contains awkward wording and is probably is sent from outside of the country.

The BBB Gears Up for 14th Annual National Consumer Protection Week

The BBB is again partnering and joining forces with federal, state, and local government agencies and national organizations to celebrate the 14th annual National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) coming March 4-10, 2012. During NCPW, groups nationwide share tips and information that help consumers protect their privacy, manage money and debt, avoid identity theft, and avoid frauds and scams.
